Silver dollars and similar coins are among the most widely recognized options for silver stackers. In Canada, they were designed so that one dollar’s worth of coins from 1920 to 1966 contains exactly 0.600 ounces of silver.
Junk silver is easier to trade than large bars or even 1 oz coins. Lately I’ve been calling 50-cent pieces “The New Maples,” as they fall in the $30–$35 range compared with well over $100 each for Maples.
